How Prism keeps you private

One link you can share anywhere. Every payment through it lands at a new address that only you can find and open.

01How it works

When you open the app, your wallet signs one message. That gives you a private key pair that only you hold. The same wallet always gives the same keys, so your inbox comes back on any device.

When someone pays your link, their browser makes a brand new address that only you can open. The HYPE goes straight there from their wallet.

Your browser finds every payment that is yours, adds them up, and lets you move the money whenever you like.

02What is private

Which payments are yours. Looking at the chain, a payment to you looks like a payment to a fresh, empty address. Nothing on chain ties it to your link or your main wallet.

Your keys. They are made in your browser and never leave it. We never see them and can never move your money.

03What is public

  • The payer's address, the amount and the time of every payment are on chain for anyone to see.
  • Moving several one-time addresses into one wallet links those payments together. You can send each one anywhere, use a fresh address, or leave the funds where they are.
  • Each link name is listed with the wallet that created it.
  • Our site can see which visitor opened a pay page and sent a payment.
  • For a custom name, we keep the Solana wallet that holds the token next to the wallet that owns the link.

04Who pays gas

The payer pays gas for their payment. When you move money out, each payment covers its own gas. On Elysium that is a tiny fraction of a cent.

05Limits

  • HYPE on Elysium only.
  • One free link per wallet with a random name. Holding $PRISM unlocks more links and custom names, checked when a name is claimed and when its keys change.
  • The pay page checks that a link was created by its owner's wallet. Only pay links from people you trust.
  • Payments made on the pay page show up right away. Others show up within a few seconds.
  • Your inbox depends on your wallet. Lose the wallet and you lose the inbox.
